We are happy to introduce the first infrared welded PVC-U System. The newly introduced IR PVC-U system is a groundbreaking solution for the chemical processing industry and water treatment applications. It combines two fields of expertise at GF Piping Systems, bringing together the heritage of the PVC-U piping system and the market-leading infrared welding technology. The system works without using cement, allowing for a machine-controlled process with
integrated quality control.

Portfolio

In the beginning the portfolio consists of d25 and d50 and is designed for an operating pressure of PN16. An extension up to d63 is planned.

Welding Machines / Service

The new IR PVC-U system can be welded on IR-63 Plus, IR-110 Plus und IR-110 A machines. Before usage, all machines currently on-site will have to be shipped to CSO Schaffhausen for calibration to guarantee perfect welding results. A service cannot be done locally or at site at the moment.
When you send in the machine for service you must specify that the PVC-U parameters should be installed, as this additional calibration work is only done on request. New machines from stock are not equipped with PVC-U parameters. On request, this can be done before delivery. Clamping inserts
On IR-63 Plus machines standard clamping inserts can be used to weld the IR PVC-U System. On IR-110 Plus und IR-110 A machines, special clamping inserts (blue) need to be used on the inner clamps. These four clamping inserts will be added to the machine during the service / update.
