We are proud to announce the sales release of the Butterfly Valve Type 567/578 with the pneumatic actuators Type PPA (=Plastic Pneumatic Actuator). This configuration will be available for the dimensions DN50-125 / 2-5” in FC, FO and DA and in all materials (PVC-U, PVC-C, etc.). The standard pneumatic actuator with metal housing will be still available.
- Product Range
With the new pneumatic actuator type PPA (Plastic Pneumatic Actuator) we provide the optimized substitution product to the metal actuators with a safe and reliable full-plastic actuator as an optimal solution. It is tested over the service life for the optimally matched functional safety of the 567/578 Butterfly Valve range and offers additional new features.
The PPA pneumatic actuators are equipped with a NAMUR accessory interface according to VDE 3845 for the integrated mounting of a wide range of accessories such as position feedback devices or positioners. The side interface allows easy connection to a compressed air system with optional solenoid valves without an adapter plate. The main material of the actuator is the high performance plastic PP-GF (glass fiber reinforced polypropylene), which offers superior chemical properties and low maintenance.
This makes the actuator significantly lighter than an identical metal actuator. The actuator is therefore perfectly suited for the construction of compact systems where weight is a decisive factor without compromising safety. The PPA combines a high quality standard with an attractive design. The design sets the
course for a uniform aesthetic, which GF Process Automation as a solution provider implements in all new products. The PPA has already received the reddot and iF Design Award.
In combination with the 567/578, the PPA comes in 2 different sizes as a single-acting variant (PPA40-80 FC/FO) and in one sizes as a double-acting variant (PPA40 DA).

Type 567/ 578 with PPA are MTO (Make-To-Order) and stock level at will be set after ramp up period.
