The new positioners type SPC D, SPC PID and RPC D, RPC PID are enlarged with the Industrial Ethernet communication interfaces PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP. This enables the seamless integration of those devices in Ethernet-based networks, which marks the technology of the future

With the expanded range and extensive product variants, we are sure to meet the increasing customer requirements in a wide variety of industrial automation applications. Especially in the age of Industry 4.0, industrial communication via fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet plays an important role. Because the central element in the practical implementation of Industry 4.0 is the end-to-end communication of all machines and plant parts involved and their seamless integration into
the higher-level control systems. Besides good real-time properties for communication between the decentralized field devices and the controllers, larger amounts of data can be efficiently transmitted. With its application-neutral cabling, Industrial Ethernet offers a future-oriented solution. Each positioner is equipped with 2 fieldbus connectors M12, D-coded as shown in the below figure (connector 2 and 4) for integration in fieldbus systems:
